Anatomy of a Good Day

Anatomy of a Good Day          Now as I look back over the last several years of my life I can see a turning in my life that took me down a road I don't like very much. That day was known in my home as “Groundhog Day”. Ever see that movie? It's the story of a self centered perpetual Pessimist who gets stuck in February 2nd day after day. It's a truly great movie. It was the story of my life for years. Except that in the movie the lead character, Phil Conners, starts a pr... Read More

Now is the time to buy real estate!
Posted On 02/07/2010 08:38:23 by RealtorLiz
Our real estate market has remained more steady than most of the the country. This is a huge advantage for buyers and sellers. For sellers, this means that their real estate investment was solid. For buyers, this is especially good. Interest rates are exceptionally low right now and the home buyer's tax credit is a fabulous. Buyer's must be under contract by April 30th to be eligible for the tax credit (which is an actual check that you receive for up to $8000.00!) If you are considering the pur... Read More

Misconceptions
Posted On 02/06/2010 13:00:13 by mattames
The other night, I was in Atlanta, GA to watch some wrestling.  While I was there, I came across some people who had my stereotypical wheels spinning. One of these people was a street preacher.  Technically, I guess he was a parking lot preacher, but you get the drift.  He was across from Centennial Park, and I caught what I believe to be the end of his message.  He presented the Gospel and was telling any listening ear what they could do in order to not go to Hell.... Furniture Store and Place of Worship

I remember the first time I drove past the side of an IKEA on my way to Charlotte, NC.  I saw a big, blue building with yellow letters on it, but I didn't know much about it.  Days later, I heard a friend get excited about going there on a Charlotte trip she was taking.  It seems like I've heard about IKEA regularly since then; even seeing it in the movie (500) Days of Summer.    IKEA, you have my attention.    None of this made me really want . . . The SarcMark: Asking My English Teacher
Posted On 01/26/2010 21:28:08 by mattames
Dot + circle + swirl=sarcasm???   According to the folks at Sarcasm, Inc., that's how you make the SarcMark. You may have heard of the newest addition to the punctuation family last week, and at $1.99 per download, a way to express sarcasm is raking in some serious cash.    The SarcMark is gaining attention in news reports and across the ‘net.  Allow Jimmy Kimmel's stunt double to show you how it works. . . The Masters... Priceless
Posted On 01/19/2010 00:54:50 by Grapevine
The one that happens every year, starting most of the time during the month of March, sometimes before, people start asking “Can you get me Master's tickets?”  First there are no Master's tickets, they are badges, not tickets.  Second, when most ask this question it should be “Can you get me in the Master's for free?”  So now that we have that out of the way the answer would be yes… but it will cost you!  There are some people in Augusta that are lucky enough to have badges f... Pets and Winter

Winter is right around the corner and if you are going to travel with your pets, be Prepared-make sure if staying at a hotel, they are pet friendly and if there are any restrictions or fees. I have found La quinta hotels  to be very pet friendly. You can check on the hotel locations in the area you will be traveling here Priceline.com - no one deals like we do!

Traveling in the car with pets can get a little harry at times, my Shitzu when looking out the window always hits the... Read More

Just the way I am.

It,s great to live in rural Idaho. This is an irrigated area along the Snake river. I live at the edge of the irrigated land and the desert or seeding is only a half a mile away. This is the best of both worlds. I can ride from the pasture/corrals to the desert on my riding mule and roam vast stretches.  Those that do not live in areas with government lands miss the opportunities to use them. Idaho is almost half government lands and it is open for use to the public. We (my wife and I and u... Read More
